I can't believe you are not with us anymore. Some things I will never understand. Your words in this blog are beyond beautiful and I admire your strength. It feels like just yesterday we visited in Vancouver- I wish I could have helped. This is such a tragedy ... I am sending all my love & thoughts to your family and friends who surely are missing you very, very much.

When I found out what happened I was completely stunned, you were such an incredible person.. more incredible then I even knew. After reading everything that you have gone through it just breaks me. I'm so happy i was able t find this. I worked with you for a couple years and never treated you right, always thought you were cocky. Goes to show you that you cant judge a book by it's cover. I wish I could talk to you once again and reach out to you, for i suffer from bouts of depression and your story has and will continue to help me. When i heard the news of your passing i was struck, it hit me hard for some reason. I heard of your struggles in the past but didn't realize how bad it was. You are filled with spunk, vibrance, and most of us love your friends and family. When I found out about what had happended, it was surreal to me. Not only did you love sports in general, football forsure, but I remeber when we went to a baseball game together, we had soo much fun that day! I cheered for the team you wanted to lose, and you let me, because of course you thought your team was gonig to win =) I knew after seeing that, you were hearing me, I pictured you telling the man upstairs..."You better show her something good, so she knows I'm sitting beside the big guy." Dave, you are so much fun, and after reading your blog, you were yourself with me. That was the Dave I met at Starbucks and the Dave I knew. I know heaven with will banging when I get there, you were always the light in a room. We never did get to have our last coffee, but you have left me with soo many memories and amazing thoughts. P.s I carry the blackberry piece with me everywhere! It reminds me of you(*) I think about you everyday, and will miss you dearly. You were a great friend, uncle, sibling son and most of all person.
